Grayson acquired Standard Title in the spring of 2017 and currently serves as title counsel. Before acquiring the agency, Grayson founded and served as managing partner of the boutique real estate law firm Morris, Russell, Eagle & Worley, PLLC (now Longleaf Law Partners) in Raleigh, North Carolina. Grayson oversaw a team of highly skilled attorneys and paralegals focused on commercial real estate and related services. Prior to practicing law, Grayson worked for Trademark Property Company in Fort Worth, Texas, which is a premier retail developer.
Grayson is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School, North Carolina State University and Campbell University School of Law. In additional to his North Carolina State Bar license, Grayson holds a North Carolina broker’s license and is an instrument-rated private pilot.
When not at Standard Title, Grayson enjoys spending time with his two boys, flying airplanes and spending time in the outdoors.
Corey joined Standard Title in the spring of 2018 and is currently the director of sales and marketing. Prior to Standard Title, Corey was employed as a sales representative in the food and beverage industry and has previous sales experience in the fashion industry. She is also a licensed broker in the State of North Carolina.
Corey is a graduate of Saint Mary’s school in Raleigh, North Carolina, Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia and L’Academie de Cuisine in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
In her relentless pursuit of certifications, Corey also teaches barre and fitness classes. Her most important accomplishment is her three children, and she enjoys spending time with them.
Melissa Margotta is a commercial underwriter for Standard Title; she joined the company in the spring of 2017. Prior to Standard Title, Melissa worked with a North Carolina-based title insurer. She also has significant experience as a real estate paralegal for a North Carolina law firm.
Melissa earned a bachelor of science degree in legal studies and graduated Summa Cum Laude from South University in Savannah, Georgia. She also has an associates in applied science Degree in paralegal studies from Wilson Community College in Wilson, North Carolina. She graduated with highest honors and was the first recipient of the Dovey E. “Kim” Watson, Jr. Award for her outstanding academic record. Melissa is a North Carolina State Bar certified paralegal, a notary public, and a licensed underwriter.
Outside of Standard Title, Melissa enjoys sky diving, hosting themed dinner parties, and has earned her first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Jimmy Rogers joins Standard Title having worked with his father’s Real Estate Law Firm for far too many years. His experience in the real estate world is vast, having participated in Real Estate Development, Construction, and Conservation Land Acquisition and protection. His operations management of the Law Firm taught him many perspectives on the Title Insurance business, and so joining Standard Title is a natural progression in his career, and he looks forward to bringing this experience and commitment to excellence to Standard Title.
Jimmy is married to Anne, an event coordinator with the CFA Society North Carolina and they have 3 children. Jimmy is very active in his church Hayes Barton UMC, and he enjoys music and going to the movies.
