Chris joined Standard Title as co-owner March 2020, where he serves as Vice President and Deal Counsel.  Chris brings over a decade of experience in real estate law, title insurance, and transactional strategy to the firm's clients, including investors, developers, lenders, and brokers across the region.  Focusing on expanding the firm’s market presence, as well as building and nurturing client relationships, Chris’ proactive approach to client engagement and his reputation for reliability and integrity have helped both companies grow steadily and maintain a competitive edge in a dynamic commercial real estate environment. 

In addition to his role at Standard Title, Chris is also the President of Standard Exchange, a company focused on facilitating 1031 tax-deferred exchange as a Qualified Intermediary.  His combined roles reflect a commitment to offering high-quality service, personalized counsel, and forward-thinking strategies to every client. 

Prior to joining Standard Title, Chris practiced law in North Carolina and assisted his clients with the purchase, sale and refinance of commercial and residential assets.  Chris also has extensive litigation experience as a former Assistant District Attorney in Wake County.  Chris is a graduate of Needham Broughton High School (2000), North Carolina State University (B.S., Business Management- 2004), the Charleston School of Law (J.D.- 2008) and continues to maintain his law license.

Outside the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife Sidney, chasing around their three children, and duck hunting on the NC coast with his friends and labrador retriever.
